Message from Principal Croymans

Welcome Home Students and Parents!

This school year is going to be fabulous! This school year will be filled with excitement, fun, and lots of learning. Your child will be given the tools and the opportunities to really explore knowledge.

I value open communication between school and home. I will keep in constant communication with you concerning events that will be taking place in our school. If there are any immediate concerns, please know that I will contact you immediately. Moreover, if you feel that there is a concern, please contact me as soon as possible. Together, you and I can work together to ensure that your child is successful.

As always, I am here to help you and your child reach success as they travel through the land of Middle School!

Below you will see information regarding our Open House/Meet the Teacher. Please make plans to attend at the times listed below. Feel free to contact the school at 828-652-7711 if you have questions.

Wednesday, Aug. 22nd: Open House for Returning 7th and 8th Grade Students
7th and 8th Grade students will pick up schedules on Wednesday between 4:30pm-6:00pm. Students will be able to locate their classrooms, pick up supply list and meet their teachers.

Thursday, Aug. 23rd: Open House for 6th Grade and New to East Middle School Students 4:30pm-7:30pm
Students will pick up their schedules, meet their teachers, receive information regarding transportation, buses, health, attendance, Peer Group Connection, and will be able to tour the school.
Members of the Student Council will be available to help provide tours to students.

Latino-Americano, and Youth Empowered Solutions want to hear from you to understand the strengths and challenges facing youth in McDowell County.
Complete the survey in your school email by Friday, May 4 to help shape positive changes for youth.
